Your Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Head of Safety Operations (m/f/d) to join our team. This position will play a pivotal role in driving various safety programs across our global operations. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of hazards in production sites, a strong interest in communication and collaboration with different departments, and a passion for all aspects of safety.

This position includes disciplinary leadership of the safety teams in the German manufacturing facilities and functional leadership of safety teams in the international manufacturing facilities.

Your Tasks

• Shape the safety environment of the operation sites and actively sharpen the safety mindset of the respective team.
• Manage the development and implementation of safety goals, policies, and priorities for each assigned area.
• Anchor a holistic, company-wide safety strategy and an implementation roadmap for global operation sites.
• Promote the standardization of processes, performance standards, and a preventive culture.
• Support or lead the creation or review of global standards and collaborate in cross-functional, international teams to implement safety improvement initiatives.
• Promote a zero-accident culture within Operations and implement processes to ensure zero accidents, including developing annual safety plans for production sites.
• Lead change management projects regarding safety.

Your Qualifications

• University degree in engineering, occupational health and safety, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience managing safety in multiple manufacturing sites, preferably in an international environment.
• Proven leadership experience in overseeing safety programs.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and lead cross-functional initiatives.
• Highly articulate with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Self-initiative and independent working style with ownership and accountability.
• Strong hands-on mentality and willingness to travel to various sites, along with intercultural awareness.
