About Us

We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for an EHS Manager to help support our Hydraulics business at our Pacoma branch in Eschwege, Germany. Pacoma is one of the world’s leading suppliers of hydraulic cylinders, extensively used in various industries including construction machinery, automobile, engineering, logistics, material handling, agriculture, and maritime applications. Pacoma stands out with its individual designs, superior global quality, and high-capacity production facilities. Our factory in Eschwege can handle a quarter million units per year at normal capacity, and our facility in China, opened in 2011, enhances our global output and logistics capabilities.

Your Tasks

• Planning, implementation, monitoring, and optimization of operational processes in all EHS areas
• Introducing EHS standards and contributing to the creation of risk assessments
• Acting as a senior safety specialist for Pacoma GmbH in Eschwege
• Tracking and participating in material declarations and restrictions (RoHS, REACH)
• Advising and supporting management and employees in areas such as immission control, water and fire protection, and waste and hazardous goods
• Carrying out approval procedures (BlmSchG) and accompanying them from the beginning to commissioning
• Participating in and/or conducting training and instruction in the EHS area
• Planning and accompanying internal and external EHS compliance audits
• Serving as the contact person for customers and suppliers on EHS-specific issues

Your Profile

• Completed studies in the technical field or comparable training
• Training as a safety specialist
• Sound knowledge of German environmental and occupational safety regulations
• Knowledge of DIN EN ISO 9001, 45001, 14001, and ideally DIN ISO 50001
• Specialist knowledge in areas like waste, hazardous incidents, immission control, fire protection, and water protection
• Good to very good SAP and MS Office skills
• Organizational skills, strong communication skills, and social competence
• Business fluent in German and English
